Over 300 local hospitals in North Korea serve
as the first line of medical care for ordinary
citizens. They have from 50 to 200 beds and have
a full complement of departments, including a
tuberculosis department for out-patient work.
Serious tuberculosis cases are treated onsite
at care centers.
A Re-supply Package is sent every six months
to re-supply the initial ¡®package¡¯ by restocking
medications and supplies, providing parts and
where needed, replacement equipment. Local hospitals
in the program receive a Re-supply Package every
six months. |
