Chronic shortages of surgical equipment and supplies are a sad fact of life for North Korean caregivers. New diagnostic and surgical equipment packages enable the North Korean caregivers to provide a much higher level of medical care to their communities.

The Comprehensive Local Hospital Package includes diagnostic equipment (X-ray machine, Electrocardiogram (EKG), Microscope, Ultrasound system, etc.) and operating room equipment and supplies.

It also includes a generator to ensure that surgery is not interrupted due to all-too-frequent power outages.

Re-supply Packages are sent every six months to re-supply the initial ‘package’ by restocking medications and supplies, providing parts and where needed, replacement equipment. Local hospitals in the program receive a Re-supply Package every six months.

Ambulance Supply Package
On a case-by-case basis, EugeneBell has sent ambulances to specific medical facilities per donor requests. Every six months, EugeneBell sends an “ambulance supply package” to each facility with an ambulance. These unique ambulances are specifically designed to meet North Korean needs. The re-supply package ensures the vehicle continues to function properly. These packages provide the necessary replacement parts, supplies and equipment needed to keep the ambulance on the road.
